What is beej Patakha?
It is an initiative by The Terra Co. to motivate people not to burst crackers and plant more and more trees in order to maintain the balance in ecosystem. It is our responsibility to educate the society and take initiative to save our planet. As we use resources of nature, we are responsible to give it back.
We have handcrafted the patakhas with soil of Mother Earth, vermicompost, cocopit, seeds and ingredients required for growth of a plant. Plant a patakha and see it burst into beautiful trees of life.
CRAFT: The beej patakhas are handcrafted and handmoulded inspired by traditional craft of making toys of terracotta.
ENVIRONMENT: It is an initiative to save Mother Earth. Diwali is a festival of celebration. In India, Diwali is celebrated by bursting crackers which creates pollution and thus creates an unhealthy environment for present and future generation. Beej Patakha is an initiative by The Terra Co. to celebrate tradition by planting more and more trees which helps in celebration and decreasing pollution levels.
SOCIETY: The Beej Patakhas are handcrafted by artisans and women of India.
